Welcome to Willamette Valley Music Company, your local hub for all things music, right in the heart of downtown Salem. Located at the corner of State Street and High Street, our store is proudly owned and operated by local musicians and music educators who are passionate about sharing the joy of music with our community.

Founded in November 2011, we’ve built our business around a simple idea: music should be accessible to everyone. Whether you're picking up your first instrument or you've been playing for decades, we’re here to support your musical journey.

As a family-owned and community-focused store, we specialize in:

• Instrument sales and rentals from student-level to professional-grade
• Expert repair services for band, orchestra, fretted, and folk instruments
• Personalized support and service from real musicians who care

Whether you prefer to browse our selection online or stop by the shop for hands-on help, our knowledgeable team is ready to assist you every step of the way.

Our Story

Willamette Valley Music Company was founded by a team of passionate musicians and educators: Mike Delamare, Randy Kem, Eli Kem, and Kathy Kem. With decades of combined experience in performance, teaching, and instrument care, the owners envisioned a music store where customer service, community connection, and music education were front and center.

From day one, we've been committed to treating every customer like family, offering honest advice, dependable service, and a welcoming space for musicians of all ages and abilities.

We’re more than just a music store, we’re your partners in music.
Come visit us and experience the difference of a store run by people who truly love what they do.
Inspiring Musicians, One Note at a Time.
