Mike Delamare - Mike is a northwest native, born north of Seattle and raised in Salem. Mike began playing Saxophone at the age of ten and quickly developed a passion for music. After high school, he attended Berklee College of Music as a saxophone performance major before transferring to Western Oregon University. Mike’s experience has been diverse, performing with big names like the Four Tops, Joe Lovano, Curtis Salgado, The Temptations, and Little Anthony and the Imperials.

Randy Kem - Randy has been involved in the music business all of his adult life as a performer,  teacher, sales person and repair technician. He started Kemtone Repair Company after apprenticing with Fran Allen. In 2011 Randy, Eli, Kathy, Hijirah and Mike made the decision to expand the Repair business into a retail store. Randy recognizes inventory control as a key factor in being able to market and sell merchandise, so he works hard not only to know what inventory is in the store at all times, but also to know about that inventory. Randy was a clinician and soloist for the Yamaha and Jupiter music companies, and presently performs both solo and ensemble literature at venues such as OMEA, All Northwest, MENC, ACDA, and with local schools. Additionally, he was a founding member of the Willamette Valley Saxophone Ensemble, Salem Concert Band, and Salem Big Band. Randy has two children - Omer and Eli.

Eli Kem - Eli was born and raised in Salem. He played string bass and piano as part of his musical upbringing. He has a degree in History, and in 2010 graduated from Willamette College of Law. Eli worked with his family at Kemtone Repair Company and specialized in brass instrument repair. Even while in law school, Eli maintained his passion for music and instrument repair by repairing instruments part-time. Now Eli works full time in the new store doing sales, repairing instruments, running the office and maintaining the electronic infrastructure. Eli and his wife Kathryn have two children, Ulysses and Eleanor Kem.

Kathryn Kem - Kathryn grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and relocated to Salem to pursue two degrees in music education at Willamette University. She began teach middle school band, orchestra, and choir, but found her strength and enjoyment in Elementary General Music, which she is currently teaching in Stayton, Oregon. Kathy has been performing on woodwind instruments since beginning on the Clarinet in 1992. She continues to perform both as a soloist and with local groups, including adult community bands, pit orchestras, small symphony orchestras, and supporting orchestras for vocal ensembles.
